How To: Google Spreadsheet Entry Form

leave a comment »

Google has added a very nice feature to their online spreadsheet product. Now you don’t need to share whole spreadsheet for someone to add data, you can generate a web form based on spreadsheet columns (or just create form and columns will be created automatically) and invite users to fill them, cool thing is user view the embedded form in their mailbox too. Data filled out by user will be appended in your spreadsheet. A very handy way to gather info for online surveys or registration.

This is how you can do this:

  1. Create a spreadsheet (blank or with column fields).

  2. Create form

  3. User views it in their mail box.
