Outlook Express Alternative

with 3 comments

If you are looking for Outlook Express alternative then Foxmail is a good choice.

I have installed and used it and found it working nicely. It is lot faster than OE. Takes about 4MB ram in minimized mode compared to OE which takes about 25MB

It is basically comes in Chinese UI but English version an be downloaded from here. By the way it’s FREEWARE.

If you know any other good alternatives then I would like to know in comments.

  1. Foxmail is good but if you receive mail in html you keep having to press a button to use it making it very painful for me to use due to wrist problems – If these programs cannot provide an option for you to simply switch on or off functions like this they should not be allowed to exist

  2. Yes, it has it’s own flaws, but after trying it for few days I switched to Windows Live Mail client and finally settled for good old Thunderbird’s latest version and since then I am a happy user 🙂

  3. I tried Windows live but could not stand how I could not receive all my mail in one inbox – Because I am using 6 accounts it made the program look bloated.

Thunderbird would be ok if it didn’t think everything was a scam or junk and if I could tell the program NOT to suppress images – having to click to see images is too much it is also useless because it does not minimise to the tray – when will software developers learn
